Super Navajo Turquoise, shell and Sterling silver necklace
This is a superlative Navajo turquoise, shell and silver necklace. This piece contains a large silver pendant that includes a large Royston turquoise stone with an accenting spiny oyster shell and smaller turquoise stone. Surrounding the stones on the pendant are remarkable silver works that include swilring stems, raindrops and ropes. The pendant measures around 2-1/2" X 1-3/4" including the bail and the large Royston turquoise stone measures around 1-5/8" X 1". Resting throughout the necklace are wonderful graduating round silver beads with the largest bead measuring around 1/2" in diameter. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Len Nezzie . The length of the necklace measures around 25". Sturdy 61 grams.
